I co-run a women led skateboarding community, we host meet-ups and contribute to promoting skating in Southampton – http://www.weskatesoton.co.uk
In 2024 we won a bursary to showcase our creative community and support our project, the outcome was a mini-documentary called ‘We Skate, We Vibe’ and an exhibition of the same title at God’s House Tower. For more information click here!
I also took photographs of Bethan, Emily and Becky all wearing T-Shirts with designs by Becky. Each shirt has a ‘hate comment’ which was left on instagram reels of each person skating. To match Becky’s graphic style I edited the photos to have a comic-book feel.
