"The yew tree was revered by our ancient pagan ancestors. It is toxic and many children have been killed by the taste of those tantalising red 'berries', the flesh itself is harmless but the pip inside is the sinister agent.


50g of yew is considered a lethal dose, and yet recent development in some cancer research yields treatment from this familiar graveside figure"
