'Places between places' is a collaborative exhibition between artists Amy Scott-Pillow and Lucie Smith, both are residents at the arches studios in Southampton and met through the studioship. The exhibition came about through a realisation of shared interest of connection to family history an connection to local history within each artists practice

Lucie smith's practice is rooted in personal and collective storytelling, with a focus on traces and the overlooked.
By drawing upon archival material and artefact collections, she explores the paradoxes of memory and empathy to create intricate sculptures and immersive, cross-disciplinary installations. she also creates photographs, stitch and paper-based works, paintings and poetic films.
Smith trained at arts university Plymouth, gaining a first class BA in fine art. she has exhibited and collaborated on projects across England and internationally, and is currently based in Hampshire, uk.
Amy is a multidisciplinary artist exploring social connections. She has a particular interest in English heritage and historic custom. Past works have found connection with some of her departed family by crafting echoes of their essence. Amy's work invites contemplation on the intersections of history, memory, and the perpetual dance between the living and the departed.
Amy currently has a studio in the Arches which is run by A-space arts in Southampton
